RE OLD ANDROID BOXES RUNNING 4.4.X
Good news is it looks like these can be upgraded to run krypton as jarvis will eventually die
i do not have an android box so research carefully before proceeding DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK

RE OLD OLD ANDROID BOXES IE MX (RUNNING 4.2.2)
These are not dead yet although slow ish borrowed one and played with it
Found a fork that runs on the same python version as KRYPTON so presumably will last longer than jarvis
Any one wanting more detail pm me

Hi

Is there an easy way to update KODI to the latest edition, which doesn't involve too much in the way of complicated procedures ?

My Android box is 2gb/16gb/4K Android 6,64 bits Quad core,so one of the latest ones.

I presume if you don't update to Krypton, the box will eventually refuse to play the latest content ?

I was hoping for a very simple "click on KODI app and it will update to Krypton",but am I right in thinking it's far more complicated than that ? Just don't want to lose all the stored add-ons,from what I've heard people have lost these or needed to delete completely and download a bare KODI again.
