Let us know what's on...
This weekend's game is away at Sporting Saladar, a club which is located near to Almoradi so easy to get to if you want to see a different ground. Attached is a copy of the league table with 27 games played and just 3 to go. Although you will see that being sucked into the relegation zone is highly unlikely, a win this weekend would secure our place in this division for another year.
Algorfa CF came away from their game yesterday at bottom club Sporting Saladar with a 2-1 win. As well as the 3 points making their place in this league next season totally safe, it also lifts them a position in the table, rising to 11th above Hondon who lost at Santa Pola. We are at home next weekend in the penultimate game of the season against CD Altet, details later.
No details yet but I understand Algorfa beat CD Altet 2-1 yesterday, another excellent result. This puts them just one point behind Altet in the league and means, depending what happens next week against Torrellano, we could end the season in 10th place. I'll post league table after today's other matches
Here is the league table with just one game to go. As well as Algorfa's final position being of interest there is a fascinating contest going on at the top of the table. Monforte lead by one point but thanks to an 11-2 victory by Rafal over poor Sporting Saladar last weekend, Rafal's goal difference is now better than that of Monforte so any slip up by the latter could lose them the title. Both have awkward away games at mid table teams Dolores (Monforte) and Altet (Rafal). If they were to both lose there is a chance that third placed Pinoso could sneak in, providing they can improve on their goal difference with a win at home to Bahia. I'll post results and final league table after the weekend's games.
All the results are in and Algorfa finish in a creditable 10th place in the table. No-one could catch Monforte who topped the league but Pinoso managed to jump into runners-up spot. Looking forward to next season already. Enjoy the summer.
